Our goal is simple. In Georgia, The Sustainable Forestry
Initiative® program is working to improve the practice of forestry, creating greater accountability for SFI program participants and providing assurance to Georgia residents that we’re managing forests sustainably.

 How do we do it?

Provide funding and staffing for education and a statewide structure and forum to discuss progress in meeting specific program principles and objectives.
See education and outreach.

Apply SFI principles to 4 million acres of
SFI program participant lands in Georgia.

Use responsible wood procurement practices and advocate sustainable forestry practices among all Georgia landowners.
See SFI beyond participant lands.
